Artist's Comments

The second instalment in my "Seven" project, this one naturally one of the seven sins, namely Gluttony.

The photographer was :useryola-bear:, assistant photographer, :useramethyst-rain:, and once again I'm the model. We decided that this would have to be because I was the only one out of the trio that could bare to have melted chocolate dribbled over her face.

Critique, rip it to shreds, enjoy...

very nice shot. perfect lighting/contrast on the face .. great skin (though knowing you it was smoothed).
I know you were going the washed out look, but I think the hands/arms just look a bit too over-exposed.
nice composition overall though :)

A freckle or two went, but the lighting makes all skin, no matter how blemished, perfect. :p

Do you think I should redo and lower the contrast somewhat? I just really wanted the contrast between the chocolate syrup and the milky pale of the skin.

nah i think you would sacrifice that by lowering the overall contrast. i' be happy with it. I can't think of a way to overcome it.
what lighting did you use?

I used a direct white globe a meter and a half directly opposite my face. After I'd looked over the shots, I wished I'd covered it with gauze, because I realised it wasn't the best angle...but c'est la vie.
